The new technologies and applications are growing exponentiallyas the digital revolution. Robots, one of the hottest topics in 2019, have begun to penetrate into all walks of life. In the first Pan-Tongji Design Week that theme is "A New Decade" , how to shift China's manufacturing from labor-intensive to technology-intensive industries, drivenby Industry 4.0, let us explore thecooperation and innovation between designers and robots in the next decade.

木头,人类最古老的建造材料之一。中国传统的手工艺将它发挥到极致,大到建筑桥梁,小到座椅茶杯,它的存在已经渗透进我们生活的方方面面。
Wood, it is the one of the oldest construction materials in history. And Chinese traditional handicrafts havebrought it to the extreme. From building bridges to chairs and cups, it haspenetrated into every aspect of our lives.

但技术的演进不仅带来效率的提升,往往会产生新的建造形态,当工具不仅仅是工具的时候,对设计的本身又会产生什么样的影响?更复杂?更自由?还是更融合自然?当造物是由人与机器的一系列判断和决定组成的时候,设计的方向又在哪儿?
In next decade, the evolution of technology not only brings the increase in efficiency, but often produces new forms of construction. The tool ismore than just a tool, what impact will they have in design? More complex? Morefree? Or more natural? When the creationis made up of a series of judgments of people and machines, what is the design future?

本次工作坊联合同济建筑设计研究院以原东昌电影院木构建作为原料,机械臂作为工具,打造一件家具,赋予历史文物全新的生命。通过掌握数字化设计与建造,打通设计与制造的屏障,探索一种不同于传统的造物形式,让设计师能够更好的施展想象力。
This workshop cooperates with the Tongji Architectural Design, use the original Dongchang cinema wood construction as the material, and the robotic armas the tool to make a piece of furniture, giving a new meaningt o historical relics. By mastering computational design and digital fabrication, bridge design and manufacturing, we are exploring a different language of creation, and free up the imagination better.

郑康奕
Kangyi Zheng
毕业于宾夕法尼亚大学,伦敦AA学院访问学者。同济大学设计创意学院创意工场数字化设计与制造负责人,声音实验室专业老师。他关注于建筑与环境,数字化设计与制造以及声音可视化与交互等跨学科领域的研究,其作品参展于纽约设计周,中国室内设计周等。
Graduated from University of Pennsylvania, Architectural Associations Visitor. Faculty of digital fabrication at Tongji University D&I college, SoundLab Lecturer. He works on Architecture and Environment, computational design and digital fabrication, sound visualization and interaction etc. interdisciplinary research, and his works exhibited on NewYork Design and China Interior Design week.

寇宗捷
Zongjie Kou
建筑师,重庆大学建筑学学士,英国谢菲尔德大学建筑学硕士(RIBA PART2)。曾任职于伦敦Spencer Fung Architects,杭州久舍营造建筑事务所。现为武汉青微舍建筑事务所主持建筑师。关注建筑营造技艺与乡建文化研究。
Architect, Bachelor of Architecture, Chongqing University, Master of Architecture (RIBA PART2), University of Sheffield, UK. He worked at Spencer Fung Architects in London, Continuation Studio. Currently architect of Wuhan Qingweishe Architects. He focus on building construction and vernacular architecture.
