We all say time is precious but we still waste time. What if we get an invoice every time we spend time like shopping? To dispel the illusion that time seems infinite, to treat time as a limited resource, will we still arrange time as before?
作品“hurry up?”
Under the pressure of modern fast-paced urban life, "seizing time" seems to have become a necessary virtue of contemporary people. Is it the best use of resources or the constant squeezing of life to seize time? The relationship between relaxation and tightness has become the most worthwhile topic to explore. Work "hurry up?" By recording the tightness of each week, we can help people better arrange the rhythm of life. The silhouette of grasping things by hand represents the tension of each period of time. It is full of childlike interest and makes the meaning intuitive.
The name "JANERATING" is a combination of the English word JANUARY and GENERATING, and it represents a new way which is closely related to computer programming to record, comprehend and express the meaning of time. The work is divided into two parts. The one with white background is the random dots and numbers generated by writing script in Javascript and making it run in Adobe Illustrator. Each random dot and number represents one day in a month. Users can also connect the dots in a daily sequence to get unexpected graphics at the end of the month.The other part with black background symbolizes the generating process of random dots through different dots with different color shade and some extracts of the original codes. The positions of the dots are random, but there is actually a logical connection between their sizes and the user's important events, anniversaries and other factors. The same is true for time and its derivatives to some extent, which is both logical and random, both inevitable and accidental.
@邓智文 18级4班 《A Mystery Above Nature》
We humans can only confirm that time is existing but not its"shape".when it comes to whether time has beginning, the answer might only lies in philosophy.What we can do is only believing now, after all, we are three-dimensional creatures, how could we be above it?
